The Plan for Ampliterra
Hi everyone!
As promised, I’m here with an update on Ampliterra: Echoes of the Rift. I really appreciate everyone’s kind words in the last week – it’s been so nice to hear from so many people who are excited about the project.
We’ve spent some time reassessing and have decided to produce Ampliterra as a digital-first product. It’ll have the same wonderful artwork and the same rich world, but we’ll be able to focus less on many extra costs that come with producing a physical book for now. Then, if interest is high enough, we’ll consider doing pre-orders for a limited run of physical books!
Completing the book will take us a few months of hard work and we’re eyeing a fall release date. But that doesn’t mean we’ll stay quiet during that time. You can expect to hear from us through 1-2 blog updates per month on our website (which will be shared on social media and in our email newsletter) with info on our progress! Those will be posted on Fridays.
And why not start with one of those updates right now? Since the Kickstarter closed last week, I’ve connected with our Art Director, Sadia. We went through our list of potential illustrations and created a priority list and ideas for the pieces that we’ll be commissioning. Next up, Sadia will decide which illustrations to assign to which artist and write art briefs for them – leaving lots of room for the artists to make it their own, of course!
Hopefully in a few weeks, I’ll be able to share some super-secret sneak peeks of new art. I’m very excited to keep sharing our progress with you and to bring you along for the ride.
Until next time,
Austin
