Art on the Way!
Hi everyone!
We’ve been hard at work over the past few weeks planning artwork and layout for Ampliterra: Echoes of the Rift. This has been a super labor intensive, super rewarding process to envision the characters and places we’ll bring to life for the final book.
Our Art Director, Sadia, has taken the lead on identifying illustrations, choosing the best artists for each one, and drafting art briefs that provide direction while still giving the artists lots of freedom to make them their own.
One of Sadia’s superpowers is being able to put little details into illustrations – a character’s body language or choice of clothes, a city’s architectural style – that really underscores the personality and feel of people and places. I’m so grateful to have them and their incredible talent on this project. I really think you’ll be able to see their care and detail in each of these illustrations.
Including the pieces we’ve already commissioned (many of which you’ve already seen), we’ll have about 65 illustrations in the book including:
11 full page illustrations
7 half page illustrations
23 character illustrations
22 spot illustrations
1 world map
1 map of the multiverse
I’m especially excited to see the avian city of Cliffside, the extraplanar entity known as the Gatekeeper, the Monastery of the Cevian Order, and the Tree of Muses. I feel confident that you’ll love them, too.
I can’t wait to watch Ampliterra take shape together!
More soon,
Austin
