Pins have arrived!

For a long time now, I’ve wanted to make a custom enamel pin. Luckily, the Kickstarter provided the perfect opportunity to do that!

For the Order of the Silver Elk pledge level, we decided to design and manufacture a pin based on an illustration that our Art Director, Sadia Bies, drew for the book. Since the order is a massively influential group that has been around for about a thousand years, we wanted their symbol to feel ancient, important, and mysterious. Sadia did an excellent job leaning into an almost medieval style for this piece of art.

Sadia was kind enough to make a simplified version of their illustration that would look good scaled down for a pin. I think they perfectly balanced keeping the mystery and striking layout of the art, while making sure it was practical to manufacture.

We decided to have the pins printed by Jiayue Pins in China. They had a great price and made the process really simple. Once we submitted the order, it only took 2-3 weeks until the pins arrived.

I’m absolutely thrilled with the results - especially with the title mark that we added to the back of the pin (you’ll have to get one to see that detail for yourself 😉). I hope we’ll be able to do more pins in the future - they’re such a fun and cost-effective way to bring parts of the game world into the real world!
