Ampliterra June Progress Update

Happy Friday, everyone!

It’s been a moment since I last gave a big status update on Ampliterra: Echoes of the Rift. I’m happy to report that progress on the book is coming along very well and we’re still on track to release it this fall!

Art Progress

As of June 29, about 70% of the art for the book has been completed. In the next 1-2 weeks, we expect to have about 85% of art completed with the final pieces submitted by the end of July. Here’s a full breakdown of the finished pieces to-date:

Getting all the art together is one of the most labor-intensive parts of this whole process. Each of our artists is working so hard to bring some incredible work to this book. I can’t wait for you to see it.

We’ll have lots more to share soon, but for now, I want to share just one of Sadia Bies’ many beautiful spot illustrations that you’ll see in the book. This one is of the Wings of Kadis, a monument built in Kelna to honor Kadis, the Dragonfly God, and to celebrate Aspelan progress. Sadia’s amazing work will probably warrant its own blog post soon!

What Next?

As our illustrators have been working away on all these illustrations, our layout artist, Julie-Anne Muñoz has been taking all the text and art of Ampliterra and slotting it into pages while also designing cohesive color schemes, fonts and layouts. Now that Jam is about done with a first pass, we’ll start identifying what pages might need additional spot illustrations and where we might need to add or trim text to make sure everything aligns nicely.

We expect that process to take until roughly the end of summer. Once that’s complete, we’ll set a release date, build a marketing plan, and send out some advance copies. Then, we’ll be ready for launch!

Thanks for sticking with us throughout this process. I can’t wait for you to see how wonderful this book is shaping up to be. I’m so proud of everything this team has accomplished so far.

More soon!
